    Walther P1 and P38

I always liked army and police surplus guns, they have a special place in history and in my heart, even the common and cheap ones.

This was my last purchase of 2021, got them on Thursday last week. Saw an ad for the P1 at $ 370 with holster and two mags.

Seller mentioned he also had a P38 for the same price. I think it’s also an ex army gun. Didn’t really need it but at this price might as well take it home. Came with a modern Sickinger holster. Both pistols had two mags corresponding to the guns. He also threw in two brand new triple K mags still in original packaging, not sure if they’re any good.

That’s four of them now with the AC 44 and the 7.65 mm from 1976

I still remember the first time I encountered a P-38 after shooting Lugers and 1911s almost exclusively. Amazingly nice shooters.

Now you need a P5 and a SIG P6 and a P4 for good measure.

Nice collection, I have owned several of those over the years and enjoyed shooting them. They spawned a fantastic follow up pistol that I still enjoy today, score!

Ironically, this past weekend, Saturday morning at 9:30AM to be exact, at my my Gun Club, a gent posted up a NIB P-88 & ANIB P4 on the bulletin board. I was leaving range and took a pic of the ad to call the seller later on. Sadly both were sold by 1PM!
