Lost 20k hours in battery life, no solar or shake awake, is configured for absolute (meaning no option for lower 1/3?), and it doesn’t even take micro mounts?
Sadly I’m not at all surprised that it’s completely underwhelming.

Sic semper tyrannis.
Is it supposed to be?
If Aimpoint wanted to launch a "new" product they'd probably need to come out with some type of scope. Something to essentially replace the aging add-on magnification options.
If they could make a lightweight LVPO with 4x or 5x AR the top end combined with an Aimpoint bright dot they might be on to something.

“The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

I'd have been disappointed if they used solar and shake awake and probably wouldn't have bought one. The usability of the solar panel on Holosuns is an absolute joke and an unreliable shake awake is why I ditched the last one I had. I'm also not worried about the 30,000 vs 50,000 hr battery life since I change batteries annually.
It does take micro mounts, it just sits a little higher, which is fine, I like high red dots. One of these on something like a Scalarworks or Reptilia 1.93 would be the cat's pajamas. It would probably be close to Unity height. I'm told street price will be around $440-450, which is basically in Pro pricing territory.
