I didn't see this posted anywhere so thought I'd share it. Here are the current RDS Footprint standards.

Honestly mounting plates need to go the way of the dodo bird.

The industry needs to consolidate into just two or maybe three.

Already for micro compacts the Shield RMSc footprint has become the defacto standard. I do hope more would adopt the Holosun K variation since it's the best one in this category.

Among full size pistols it's mostly the RMR footprint, but Doctor is in there and to some extent the full size Shield/Leopold as well.

A third category is the mini rail. Steiner has adopted the Acro format. So there's hope that it would become the standard for mini rails as only Holosun uses their 509T rail.

Got a 509T recently and I kind of prefer clamping on to a mini rail over the screwing in from the top, but that is based on screwing to a plate instead of direct to slide.
