RBT’s owner is a lawyer… so I think you’ll see it fought a lot harder than some company that just hires lawyers to fight for them. Since it being two months since the case was dismissed… I’m sure ATF is trying to come up with a better argument, as they realize calling it a machine gun will be fought, and likely lost.

I like the new trigger… and would consider picking one up. If RBT wants to really rake in money… same setup as the new trigger (safe, semi, forced reset… but probably swap the modes around), put it in an AK fire control group, and utilize a traditional selector. Amount of space in an AK receiver, should be an easyish thing to figure out.

Would be crazy fun if they made one to work with the M&P15-22. At least I could afford to shoot it in full semi.

Well the law also says shall not be infringed, but people tend to interpret the law these days as general guidelines that judges (and now bureaucrats) can interpret however they want. In fact, the law basically says that judges now have to defer to the opinions of bureaucrats in their rulings.

The problem is the more recent law called the "sporter clause."
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

If I've heard of that I can't remember what it is.

No doubt. How in Hell they manage to do that with semi autos and revolvers is a mystery.
A true "Gun Guy" (or gal) should have familiarity and a modicum of proficiency with most all firearms platforms.

I was told by a range manager one time it was due partly to heavy recoiling guns like AKs going full auto. And also due to people having negligent discharges, putting their fingers on triggers before they were on target. And also people doing it intentionally just to see what happens. One range owner said they had a lot of problems with people intentionally shooting the floors just to see what happened.

The law does not say "action" it says function

"...by a single function of the trigger."

Only one round is expelled per function of the trigger. Forced Reset just gets it to complete the function a little quicker.

The sporter clause is a checklist of requirements that allow the ATF to determine the suitability of any imported firearm by requiring a "sporting purposes" qualification. Also applies to ammo, magazines and many other things. This is how ATF banned importation of 7n6 5.45x39 ammo by declaring it to be armor piercing ammunition.
