That would probably take away from the "classic" Hi-Power profile. Most of the people who will be buying one of these may want it as close to the original as possible.

I'm probably in the minority, and I don't buy pistols very often... BUT... I wouldn't buy a gun with optics cut. Normally it's more money for a cut slide, and I'll never put a red dot on a pistol.

They'll probably make one if the gun sells enough to continue its production.

Optics cut on a high power? Blech. I'll take the one on the right in that picture if they turn out to be reasonable and reliable.

I hope if it sells enough that they would come out with a light rail option and with micro red dots we could get one on the slide.

That thing is ugly as sin. I don't need an other 9mm, and I definitely don't want this.

Honestly, I'm wondering the same thing. At the very least, a rail would seem to be a great addition.
It's f*****g great, putting holes in people, all the time, and it just puts 'em down mate, they drop like sacks of s**t when they go down with this.

Other maker of classic metal pistols have gone to the trouble of making models with pic rails and optics cuts. Think Beretta 92, CZ 75, Sig 226/229, and a myriad of 1911s. Why is the high power above such treatment? It's not like they only have to make one version of it.

I still think they're pricing themselves out of the market, though.

Version I heard somewhere is the new FN is mainly a GP35 in looks only, almost entirely new inside. Shoulda gotten a foot in the door with a basic model, THEN added up-market offerings.

I like the ambi controls but they don't mean much without the rest of the package. Hopefully they will listen up.

If I wanted a classic Browning Hi-Power, that's what I'd get, none of these new jobbers.

Speaking of which, I guess the gun manufacturers got wind people want Hi-Powers or something, EAA/Girsan MCP35 is going for it, too...

So they dropped the magazine disconnect and worked on hammer bite, I might be in.
