I own over ten Hi-Powers. If it said Browning or FN on the slide, nobody would doubt it. Perhaps the quality doesn't come across in the picture. Hold one in your hand, take it apart, shoot it and then tell me what you think.

It’s probably fine as I have no reason to doubt you. I just don’t care for the looks and that’s why I buy guns like that for nostalgia. I carry Glocks to each his own.

The mkIII style safety on the new FN HP still sucks. I think the SA 35 safety lever is better.

Since it’s clearly not made as a collector oriented model, why don’t they put a rail on it so a guy can mount a light?

It’s probably just fine as a pistol to shoot and use. Most likely better than an actual Hi-Power.

Oh, damn. I hope they get that smoothed out. They seemed to have addressed the most talked about issue and left the rest fairly true.
