Interesting. I'm going to take this as a sign a significant number of firearm fans are tired of polymer striker fired pistols or why else would FN bother.

    I think it looks great.

I want them to also make a 40S&W, so I can convert it to .357sig

I am now fully caffeinated and see they have changed the barrel lock up. So it might be a better system.

Those baby poop color, ambi take down and slide release make the gun extra ugly. How available will they be? Will only gun writers and internet "influencers" see them?

At MSRP ranging from $1269 to $1369, I don't know who this appeals to outside of the dedicated collectors. That's putting you into the same territory as CZ Shadow 2s and other tuned metal guns

Cool that they're doing it, though. I really wonder if this was planned or if its a reflexive "oh crap" that they decided to do after Springfield starting talking about the SA-35.

So they went through all the trouble of "modernizing" it but didn't give it an optics cut or light rail?.....Why?

That would probably take away from the "classic" Hi-Power profile. Most of the people who will be buying one of these may want it as close to the original as possible.

I like the ambi controls but they don't mean much without the rest of the package. Hopefully they will listen up.

If I wanted a classic Browning Hi-Power, that's what I'd get, none of these new jobbers.

Speaking of which, I guess the gun manufacturers got wind people want Hi-Powers or something, EAA/Girsan MCP35 is going for it, too...

The Girsan may have been out for awhile. If not Girsan, it was another Turkish company making them since at least the time frame FN stopped and with that ramped front sight.
