IIRC, weren't the two scumbags at the Miami Massacre still fighting even after what SHOULD have technically been clinical death from how much adrenaline they were hopped up on, and didn't something similar happen at North Hollywood?

Yes there was the big FBI MIAMI shooting in mid 80s. The CSI came to FLETC and briefed us on it. One was recorded, the other was not and that was one I was at.

One of them had a Ruger Mini 14, former Marine. He was first one shot with 9MM Silvertip and it severed artery and he shot seven agents after taking that shot. The other guy got off one shot and hit a gov't vehicle with his shotgun. He only fired one round in whole scenario.

For the record, my intent is not to celebrate those assholes (I wholeheartedly join in the much deserved feting of Ed Mireles as the hero of the day), just noting the danger of a truly determined and motivated enemy and the importance of having a healthy respect for that danger.

For sure the good guys ran up on some bad guys who did not read the script of what was supposed to happen. Of interest the debriefer said that everyone hit with the 5.56 at that close range never fired another shot.

There was a big conference at Quantico and the FBI called in Fackler to be there.

Thanks, the last wreck did a number on me. Grade 4 concussion, pretty well deaf from double air bag deployment with windows up, vehicle rolled after 55 MPH headon.
