The US Navy should have contacted US Representatives and Congressmen in Washington state and asked if their presence anywhere in the state of Washington causes them alarm. If the snowflakes don't want the US Navy in Washington state, stop any and all expansion of present bases and facilities and advise said members of Congress that not another dime will be spent in Washington state. Perhaps Alaska would be more friendly to our military.

I recall something like this happening in the late 80s near Cherry Point MCAS (at the time they had AV-8Bs, A-6s, and F-18s). A developer was putting up expensive waterfront condos on the Neuse River either beside the base or on the river across from the base, and the people buying the condos--rich northerners mainly--were bitching about the news. The local government, our state representative from that area and our senators said "fine, screw you, we ain't leaving" and that was that.
