Agreed. Works fine in my BCM, even after the rifle is too hot to touch, but not in the AOP. Tolerance stacking, I guess.

True. With the Microbest BCG coming in tomorrow, now I'll have 2 spares. I imagine at least one of these BCGs will turn into an upper... which will then turn into a rifle. *sigh*

Nothing wrong with having several uppers that you built to work best with a single particular lower and just leaving them as upper 'assemblies' that can be swapped out in seconds.

Thanks for the update with respect to your carrier / ring issues. Easier to learn when guys explain how they did the troubleshooting and solved the problem...

A rule of thumb for sourcing AR’s and components is shopping for specs vs price.

With that said, when it comes to BCG’s I still stick with known brands that check all the boxes and have good reputations for QC.

A quality BCG is a sum total of materials, manufacturing and finishing processes, specs, QC, and assembly.
