+1 on the insurance, especially if you think your lowers may be the last you ever buy - doubtful you will ever have any receiver wear using them, so if you have an extra $30 lying around and 5-10 minutes to spare, you can't go wrong using them. In my opinion, triggers seem to feel nicer with these installed.

FWIW, my first attempt at using KNS pins was with the Gen 2 Mod 2 version, but I actually BENT one of the connector posts while tightening the screws. Thankfully I was able to exchange them no-questions-asked for Gen 2 Mod 1 (the big fat strong ones) and used them instead.

Yeah I have Gen II Mod I...certainly feels clean, but I miss the trigger adjustment screw on my Superior lower (just sold on Gunbroker for the buy it now price 26 minutes after putting it up)

Superior has a trigger adjust screw I had in all the way for a crisp hair trigger...I wish the Sabre had that, too...I dont like the travel that is longer than 1/16th inch

I've had pins walk out on me with a Stag and an RRA lower w/16inch barrels, shooting on a slow fire range off of the bench. Neither of my Varmint rifles (Double Star and RRA) showed these problems. When I did my last build, I figured WTH I'll buy another set.

Either something is worn, out of spec or assembled incorrectly as this shouldn't happen. I think I saw it happen a half dozen times in 10 years of military service and they were well worn M16's.

I agree, but it seemed like a cheap enough fix. The RRA lower that showed that problem is now used on a 9mm build, where the pins come highly recommended (thanks to my extensive reading of this site).

I'll yank them apart and see if I did install something wrong. The Stag has a DPMS LPK in it, and the newest build has one of Grant's LPKs in it. This weekend I'll try to see if there's a measurable difference in some of the parts.
