Sow ith Form $ the ATF e system allows for electronic Fingerprints to be submitted. But why not for other forms? Like Form 1 for example, you still have to get physical fingerprints taken and then snail mail them to the ATF NFA division. As a Software Engineer, I can tell you that if you added that capability to attach (upload) the fingerprints for Form 4, it only take a few lines of code to add that to any other form already in the eforms system. So this is a policy decision and not a technical one.

Anyone have any real insight into this other than the typical "That's the government process" B.S.? I am genuinely interested in doing a form 1 which I'm sure is still faster partially electronically, but just seems really lame.
