    S&W 27-2

Exactly two years ago, I found this very nice S&W 27-3 at an LGS I didn’t know then. I bought it for $ 600 in a three gun deal. Needless to say I went back to this LGS. A lot.

It had not original grips, but the seller let me roam through his grips stash

And I found these. Not original to the gun but nice

And I had a spare set of N targets which I put on

Anyway, a shooting buddy really liked it and made me promise that if I ever sell it he has dibs.

Well I saw a P&R 27-2, abt 10 years older, from a private seller at $ 900. So my buddy got the -3, he was happy and so was I

Nice, nothing quite like a Model 27.

Glad to see another P&R junkie. Love old Smiths.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

Great gun. I have all of the barrel lengths in the 27-2s.
From memory the 4” were made in fewest numbers, but the 5” is probably my favorite.
The m520 (fixed sight, 4”, .357 N frame) is obscure as Hell too and subjectively may be the sexiest.
A true "Gun Guy" (or gal) should have familiarity and a modicum of proficiency with most all firearms platforms.

Very nice revolver! I bet it's fun to shoot too.

If you 'shine up' those -2 Smiths they can double as a mirror!

Dam nice revolver, I have a Highway Patrolmen (28) that was my Dads, but nothing shines like a 27!
