    FN FAL G1

    LGS received this rifle. I liked it and we agreed on $ 1620, including several magazines. Now waiting for the permit

    “In November 1956, however, West Germany ordered 100,000 additional FALs, designated the G1, for the army. FN made the rifles between April 1957 and May 1958. The G1 user modifications included light metal handguards and an integral folding bipod, similarly to the Austrian version.

    Man, the G1 "pre sample" I could have bought for $4,500 in 2002...but I had just gotten married and spent all my money on that.

    I got a pair of G1 muzzle devices in some kind of mega combo deal from Tapco. The flash hider was obvious, but the other I never could figure out. May have started life as a blank adapter, but the end of it had nice external threads.
    Best I can recall no other FAL muzzle device I had would screw on to it and really would have raised more questions if it had accepted them.

    FN denying Germany the rights for production, especially when WWII was fresh in their minds at that time, is understandable.

    Yes he does, do a search for SIG AMT or just search his posts.
