Question Seeking a high end case for a broken down 16" AR15: Zero Geo Aluminum 3.0 - 26" Case

UPDATE: I bought the Zero Case...
I want to get a really high end rugged or luxury case for my 16" AR. Upper and Lower will be separated. I want to make a foam cutout at additional expense. There are many rifle cases but not for a broken down Upper and Lower. The inside needs to fit a 16" total barrel length which when considering the full Upper is about 26" or so. I measured the Upper and it will fit in this Zero Case.

I have many cases made by Zero Halliburton. Nothing this big though. I'm tired of lugging my massive Pelican Case that can fit an entire rifle and then some. I also have a collection of Zarges cases.

There are tons of cases out there but nothing for a broken down AR.

This case is on sale for $730. It is normally over $1,000.00. This Geo 3.0 line looks better than the current offerings even though I think it may be discontinued. I think the sale might end tonight.

The case will be used for going to the range while normally this rifle resides in my safe.

I want something special. Even Pelican cases do not come in the right size to hold a 16" Upper when broken down.

I realize this case may be a bit ridiculous to some but I would like to hear everyone's opinion of it or any other high end cases.

You could have had a cabinet maker custom build you a case for that sort of money.

Not at all ridiculous if that is what YOU like and want.

You really don't want to use that kind of foam.

    Why not?

I have made cushioning before for gun cases. Last time after I shaped the foam, I put a layer of Duct Tape all around it. It worked well.

Don't you think it will be hot enough to melt this foam?

If not I guess I'll have to buy the expensive foam from Pelican.

    It's over $100 though.

If the hot knife wont work I'd consider butchering it with a box cutter.

I can get gun socks that can hold the upper and lower if contact with the foam or Duct Tape would be harmful.

You spend a fortune on the case and cheap out on the foam... How much sense does that make?? Give these folks a call if you have any $$$ left after buying the case. https://www.gunfoam.com/?gclid=CjwKC...xoCDsYQAvD_BwE

    I agree with GH41.

A Gucci case deserves nice foam.
