Plus one for skipping the blue loctite on a castle nut. The object is not simply to secure the nut to the threaded tube. If you’re averse to staking for some reason, my friends and I have had no problems with the PWS ratchety version. But staking is the standard.
I’ll defer to people smarter than me on whether the antiseize is a good idea. I generally use grease, like everyone else here, on my barrel nuts.
