    Good Bang for the Buck?

Looking to replace a 13yr'ol barrel that I've finally shot out.
    Original is a 16" 5.56 w/pinned FSB, 1:9, carbine barrel, that I want to replace with either a 1:7 or 1:8, 16" 5.56 w/pinned FSB, carbine.
Sticking with an already pinned FSB to avoid extra work with FSB/gas block, and to fit my current DD Omega X 12" FSP rail.

Ideally want to stay below $300.
    Looking at Aero Precision, https://www.aeroprecisionusa.com/556...ine-cmv-barrel

What say y'all, is Aero Precision a good bang for the buck?
Or what would you recommend something else?

Aero I believe uses or is a sister company to Ballistic Advantage which does make some good barrels, they have their Hanson Profile, which I really love. The only other barrels I continue to hear about for a great price is Rosco.

If you can go slightly hire than $300 I would look at Criterion, but I also know that the owner of BRT Black River Tactical is on these threads and while only owning their BCG, he does provide great knowledge and good service.

Aero isn't bad but for similar money could get a Colt barrel.

I haven't bought anything from Charlie's Custom Clones, but I remember a thread on this site that just mentioned Buyer Beware. When I was on Reddit before the Left took that over, there was some people complaining as well. I don't have first hand experience, but thought that I would just say that there was a good amount of people saying to go else where and I thought I would pass the info along

My next upper build is gonna be either a 14.5" or 16" middy. Gonna go with a Criterion Core profile barrel. Have their 20" Hybrid profile barrel on my AR15A4 clone. Pretty happy with it.

I hadn't heard anything one way or the other, so buyer beware if they choose to buy from Charlie's custom.

Well sh!t, all ready to pull the trigger on the Colt barrel, and now I'm leery of it.

Criterion and Roscoe don't offer a pinned FSB, that I see.
Ballistic Advantage does, but doesn't say in the specs if their barrels are HP/MP tested.

It doesn't hurt to ask. I would talk to them to see what they say, a little research tends to go a long way, just don't ask me how I know that... M1A, M&P 40, Kimber 1911, etc, etc

They're gtg. Aero / BA. I have a few of the even cheaper BA Modern series which have been just fine. Have 2 Faxon which are gtg. Finishes and specs can differ; tube length of carbine vs middy, etc. I personally wouldn't get too caught up in all that but tons of data is there if you choose to drive yourself mad. Whatcha cooking today?

I contacted BA, they say barrels are HP/MP batch tested.
