The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

I was signed up and I didn't receive a notice. Found out on James Williamson's page they were available to preorder.

I got in a such a frenzy, that I reordered the 1911 books, with sleaves.... Gave my first set to my 'gun-mentor' that got me really into shooting and is a 1911 freak, and he just retired.

I went ahead a pre-ordered this book. I can't wait. I wish someone would translate Manfred Kersten books on the P7 and P9s. They appear to be pretty impressive but I don't want to pay $50 in shipping for a book I can't read.
Let those who are fond of blaming and finding fault, while they sit safely at home, ask, ‘Why did you not do thus and so?’I wish they were on this voyage; I well believe that another voyage of a different kind awaits them.”

You do know they have a book about the entire history of HK and most of their firearms in English correct?

I do! It is INSANELY expensive right now (typically $500+). They need to print some more. But the other German Kersten books are far more detailed. The HK book (which I have) is excellent, but obviously a general overview. One book I did get killed on was the "Full circle" book from Collector grade. Good Lord I had to pay.

Well if they aren't in English, they are saving me money. I also presume Vicker's book will be fairly comprehensive but not sure I'm gonna survive the wait for HK Vol 2, that is the one that is gonna have the G3s, 33Es, MP5s, etc.

    Got these two this week.

Heckler & Koch (Volume 1) - I'm impressed. Incredible detail and maybe the best photography I've ever seen and this includes The Grey Book. I learned a few things about guns I even own. And of course I learned there are a lot of interesting ones I don't own yet.

WWII Germany (Volume 1) - I didn't know what to expect with this one but it met whatever those expectations were. Only problem is they might need four more volumes to cover the topic in complete detail. And of course this book added a half dozen firearms to my shopping list and frustratingly most are things that 20 years ago sold for about $100 but now sell for over $1000 or more.
