Want a couple of these as a budget option on carbines. I'll run a scout type on another. Is the G2X T still the best option? Thanks.

Why would you, when the hlx exists?
I like those lights and have a few on guns, but I prefer the Inforce rifle lights. They bought directly and are GTG.
From website: RIFLE LIGHTS
The WML and WMLx with white or white and IR emits a concentrated, high intensity beam up to 800 lumens and a 2-hour run time.

Lot of folks think Inforce lights are dog shit. Durability issues, battery drain, electronics issues, etc. They brief well, but so far, they've yet to prove themselves among most serious shooters. I haven't heard much about their newest metal WMLs, but they're only designed for pistols so far, so the polymer rifle lights are still a hard no for me. I know they have the metal CD OWL-ish light in the works, but I don't think it's out yet.

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

All our carbines have different variants of G2 lights on them in Hailey Thorntail mounts. Work pretty good for us.
