Have a Geissele on the way. Unsure on whether or not I'm going magnified prism scope or traditional scope on this one.
Range toy to start until it's proven reliable, then perhaps SHTF rifle.
Which route should I go and what options to consider? Not looking for a top of the line scope or small fortune. I'm thinking Primary Arms or Vortex will get the job done.

Your use case of primary range toy with potential SHTF isn’t as unique as you probably believe….lots of conversations about it.
I personally don’t know of any prism optics that are worthy of riding on a Geissele. Your valid and most likely choices are Aimpoint M5 or LPVO….likely a Vortex Razor Gen 3 or Nightforce NX8.

Damn, I miss IG….and h is never even had the pleasure of meeting him.
For a range toy, Primary arms is fine. I doubt anyone here considers it a life saving option. It’s quite common to spend as much on glass as was spent on the rifle.
