Wilson SFX 5” vs. Staccato C2 w/comp - Which one?

I am looking for a CC double stack 1911. LGS has: 2022 Staccato C2 w/Comp AND Wilson Combat SFX 5” w/optic plate. I’ve never shot a Staccato. Barrel length immaterial for my cc.

Looking for thoughts/experience with Staccato. Shooting, maintenance,.. Other feedback?
    Cheers,

    —Dan @ MN

The C2 is hard to beat for a range/carry gun, particularly with RD Optic.
A/C zone hits at 50 very doable, they excels at speed shooting/drills.

Maintenance is like any other well set up 1911; keep lubed, detail strip and clean every 3K to 5K rds.
The newer Staccatos are pretty well put together; accuracy more than acceptable, reliability excellent, fit/finish above par.
A true "Gun Guy" (or gal) should have familiarity and a modicum of proficiency with most all firearms platforms.

Thank you - <deleted in between step> I’ll look at them in person and see how they feel.

My C2 is way more accurate than me. I shot it more accurately than a Wilson EDC9.

The C2 shoots very soft in my opinion and with the Dawson fiber optic sights you are back on target quickly..

Thank you both. That’s what I wanted to know.

The SFX was lightweight, felt great in my hand, and is beautiful. Can host the 509T I want with the True Zero milled in https://www.wilsoncombat.com/true-zero-optics/

The C2 has nice 3.5lb trigger and form. Seems good for 508 I want https://dawsonprecision.com/staccato...mited-edition/

So, I picked up the SFX on Friday and I aim to secure the C2 and pick it up before next weekend.

Love the way that comp looks.

No, I don’t. It’s more helpful with +P but feels effective with most ammo I run.

Generally speaking here, When loading hot .45acp rounds a slower powder is used which takes up more volume in the case to get to those velocities.

You won't find a +P loading for a fast (low charge weight / economical) powder like Bullseye for good reason. Unsafe as hell being the big reason.

Those slower powders and increased charge weights produce more gasses that a comp 'needs' to work best.
