Nice work on that 01918 Black Oxide. I'm keeping both of mine totally stock, and one is a safe queen, but the one I shoot is a very accurate and reliable 1911, even with hollow points.
I understand the nostalagia factor in wanting to carry one of these as they are just everything the 1911 should be and with modern materials and better sights, they are superb, functional yet highly interesting pistols. Here is the one I shoot, sorry for the crappy pic.

David - any updates on this gun? One of my favorite guns on the Internet period. You have impeccable 1911 taste.
