    Imbel IA2 7,62mm/308 SBR

Ok, you guys had never seen one of this...
    Imbel IA-2 in 7,62x51mm/308 Win.
Think about a shortened action and barrel (10 inches) FN FAL.
Comes with four 20 rounds magazines, by the way, the very same magazines of FN FAL.
It takes me 13 months to put the hands on it, due to production stops because the Covid stuff and a crazy lazy papers bureaucracy.
What an I going to do with a 10 inches barrel semi-auto .308 ??? It's not good for precision shooting, its not good for hunting (maybe it works for hunt...), its not good for 3 gun matches...

BUT I WANT ONE SO BAD!!!!!

It costs me R$ 15.000,00, wich is more or less US$ 3264,35 (yes, not cheap at all).
LPVO is a Zeiss V4 1-4x24, with ZQAR reticle.
I know that 1 to 4's are a little outdated these days, but I think that suited well this short barreled bad boy.

A barrel that short in 308 makes no sense in any realm. Completely robs the cartridge of any potential, and HAS TO be a miserable gun to shoot.

Only thing dumber is a .308 "shorty" belt fed, but I had one for a time. HK 51B with a meat tenderizer para stock. Finicky feeder, shoulder grinder and a beach ball size fireball cooking off your eyebrows.

Ok, zeroed the little beast today, as I anticipated, fun as hell!
It proved itself as a solid 3,5 moa gun at 100m ... in fact almost equal to my 18 inches M1A. Ok, in fact, its a Norinco M305.
The trigger has the same fell as an standard FN FAL, i.e, heavy and long. But the recoil is not too bad at all, I felt it very manageable.
The fireball in front of the muzzle is truly impressive. May be a muzzle brake in the future, just to make others people life miserable???
I felt like Garand Thumb reviewing the DSA OSW... look here:

All in all, love the stupid thing.

Ricardo, I'd love to have one. How about making a video for us? Is it semi only or full auto?

It's interesting that this rifle is also available in 5.56x45, but the rifle doesn't appear to be scaled down in size for the smaller cartridge.

You just have to use your imagination. What if you were on some sort of tactical team and had to do an entry in to a building that had a lot of inside walls made out of cinder blocks?

    My thoughts exactly. Personally, I won't have a .308 under 18".
