    We’ll see if they fixed the handguard zero retention. Not sure why they didn’t use a mounting system with more index tabs and why screws rather than a pin, latch or clamp. Weight perhaps? I have a feeling they made this for the US Army to replace the M4.

    I’m sorry but I still don’t trust Sig. I wound up buying a NRCH SCAR 16 over the Virtus and MR556. Thus far I am happy with my decision. My criteria was for a piston gun with an adjustable gas block. I did a 14” pin and weld barrel (KeyMo FH). Sandman K is in jail but I may order a Sierra 5.

    I think the screws might pull the handguard in, creating a more rigid connection to the receiver rail.

    That's basically what the Arisaka MCX handguard fix does.

    +1. I still think it could be better, but it may save weight
