    Geissele REBCG Bolt Carrier Group

Just got my new Geissele REBCG. I noticed a small scuff on the back of the carrier but it is not on a face making contact with the buffer so I don't mind it too much.

Then I noticed the bolt tail is magnetic. This wouldn't be too bad if the thing didn't cost me almost $300.

How big of a deal is this if I only shoot brass?

That's curious. Can't wait to see what the metal heads say.

Just run everything over a demagnetizer and you'll be good to go. Other than that, if you're not shooting steel ammo, it's pretty much a non-issue.

Contact Geissele, they’ll make it right.

What's the issue if it's magnetic? I genuinely have no idea, would love to learn a little.

The issue is when you shoot steel cased ammo. Shavings and bits can get attracted to the BCG and cause failures. Brass isn't magnetic, so if you're not shooting steel rock on.

I have the G super duty rifle and its one of the nicest guns I've ever shot. Contact G and see what they say. Their CS is outstanding in my experience. And their gear is quality.

If you shoot steel ammo, just buy a f@#king Palmetto State Armory gun.

I'm still curious what would cause this though.
