Yikes!! You've got me wondering if I should just go back to my G mounts.

I am using two of the Aero mounts on a .22 LR dedicated upper, although I paid more like $100 for the pair. I have a 1" and a 30mm mount. The best part of an Aero mount is the torx driver they include.

Non-QD Warne XSkel mounts are just over $100, weigh 6.7 oz, and made in the US. One of the members here reported that the helicoil inserts allowed the scope to shoot loose quite a while back, so they are not perfect.

Reptilia AUS is 5.5 or 5.6ish oz
    NF ultramount is 5.9 oz

I went with Reptilia + ROF 90 which was a total of 6.3 iirc.

Aero makes great stuff, but that mount is not one of their great products. I'd try and get a refund..If they won't, get a replacement(if they'll warranty it), sell it for a loss, and move on. I have some $20 Ebay mounts in a drawer from when I was a gun noob that I'd trust more.

I gravitate toward ADM and Larue mounts; but they're pricy.

What were you expecting? A quick glance at those mounts tells you that they are not sturdy and have a likely failure point where yours failed.

How much should OP look to charge for a broken mount?

I think you missed the part where he said that the OP should get a replacement first.
