What do you use? What works well?
I went with a BCM 7” 1/7, as I figured Go Small or Go Home with a new caliber like this.
I do not have a .30 suppressor yet, but will.
For now, what supersonic rounds work well for hunting and/or home defense?

Sadly, the limiting factor on HD ammo for 300 BLK is availability, followed by price. I got lucky and snagged a couple hundred rounds of Sig 120gr HT at a great price before the drought, which uses the 120gr Barnes X bullet. It preforms very well out of an 8" barrel, though the same "exceeds 18" penetration in ballistic gel" caveat applies as the 110gr Barnes.

Barnes 110 Grain TAC-TX or Black Hills 110 Grain Tipped Triple-Shock X
When you get your can the Discreet Ballistics 188gr subsonic hunting load is wicked.

Does it have to be supersonic for HD? If you are willing to go subsonic loads I recommend Hornady 190 grain Sub-X.

I load both the Barnes 110 gr TAC TX and the Hornady 110 V-Max.
The Barnes is probably the current performance champ and as stated above is a bit over-penetrative.
The V Max is designed as a Varmint bullet for .308/.30-06, but at 300 BLK velocities it holds together pretty well.
If I was looking for a HD round, the 110 V-Max would be the one.
Both are available (at least have been available) as loaded ammo.
A true "Gun Guy" (or gal) should have familiarity and a modicum of proficiency with most all firearms platforms.
