BREAKING: CEO of US election software firm Konnech arrested for storing data on servers in China

Eugene Yu, the CEO of the software firm Konnech, has been arrested in connection to the storage of data on servers in China.

"Yu, 51, was arrested early Tuesday just outside of Lansing, Mich., after prosecutors alleged he improperly stored the information on servers in China, according to Los Angeles County Dist. Atty. George Gascón. Yu, who is the chief executive officer of a company named Konnech, is expected to be extradited to Los Angeles in the coming days, Gascón said," according to the LA Times.

On Tuesday, the Times had to write that Yu had been arrested, and that data collected by Konnech had indeed been stored on servers in China. True the Vote, an election integrity not-for-profit, stated that they were able to download the personal information of some 1.8 million poll workers from Konnech servers in China. True the Vote passed this information on to the FBI.

Good thing the FBI isn't a corrupted agency acting in the interest of Barrack Ali Bama's appointment's interest.

Is it wrong that I miss the old punch cards for voting? I like paper trails and hard data for anything important. Maybe I am wrong having those thoughts, but it is how I view it.

Seriously voting information on Chinese servers? That is something I am very uncomfortable with, and heads should roll for it.

That chad garbage illustrated so much idiocy to me. It is a ficken punch card and not PhD level mathematics. I almost wonder if that crap was engineered for the purposes of getting rid of that system. Still they at least had hard evidence and paper trail to follow versus easily manipulated code, which may also suffer from defects be it on the drive to software. Digital is far from perfect.

I apologize for the tin foil hat. I do not really believe that was engineered. It is just not that hard to punch a card.

Yup. In another month I’ll have to hold my nose while I vote for a RINO. Ugh...

Konnech didn't handle ballots or elections. It handled staff/employee scheduling of poll workers. They had a contract with Los Angeles County to do the scheduling for poll workers. That information was stored in China and that is a violation of the contract signed with LA County.

The CEO was arrested for the crime of Embezzlement of Public Funds since the company falsely presented that all information would be stored in US based servers. They violated the contract.

Konnech's own website advertises the following:

    PollChief® Election Worker Management System

Manage your poll workers with one comprehensive and intuitive software tool

Our poll worker management tool is specifically designed for election managers. This software tool will eliminate the tedious portions of your management process and help you organize and streamline your operations saving you time and money.
This is similar to a program that was used in FL after Parkland. When SB7026 was signed into law, it required that every school have a cop. Well, not every county or had enough cops for the schools in their jurisdictions. So the schools hired off duty cops to be SROs. A third party company was hired to do the staffing and scheduling. Cops from all across the state provided their information to the company and the company would then schedule the officers to work details during their off hours.

That sounds very similar to what service Konnech did for poll workers.

Again, the issue is the that the contract stipulated that all information must be stored in the US. Konnech possibly claimed they did and it turns out they didn't. Or Konnech sold the employee information to a third party in China for marketing purposes.

In my adult life, I've learned to realize that people are incredibly dumb. I see it all the time in the simplest of tasks or instructions. You had idiots in Palm Beach County that couldn't figure out a butterfly ballot back on Tuesday, November 7, 2000. It wasn't a vast conspiracy, it was typical human stupidity.
