That's a pricey gun.
Not once, but twice he's been caught. The fact that so many people have been caught with guns in their carry on have led me to believe it's one or two things.
1. They forget that their blaster is in their bag. They're still an idiot. When you possess a weapon and you are "carrying" it, your coconut on top of your neck needs to be turned on and tune in. Toting a gun around in a bag is not like carrying a pair of sneakers or a tube of toothpaste. BTW, most people consider themselves "carrying" a gun when it's in a bag/sack/satchel/pouch/under the car seat/in glove box/center console.
2. They partially heard that a gun is allowed to be on the plane. They thought literally that they are allowed to tote it in a bag onto the plane. They're ignorant about the law that you have to check the firearm in the checked baggage.
Either those two above or could be some other reasons. They're still idiots.
