I'm just glad to hear that Scary Poppins and her Goebbels-like "Ministry of Truth" is at least on hold for now.

Don't think I was suggesting otherwise.

I used to laugh my ass off when Trump did it.

States some patently absurd thing on Twitter such as "We are going to build a WALL and Mexico is going to PAY for it."

Dems work themselves up into a tizzy because they don't understand comments on twitter aren't the same thing as a bill going through Congress.

A "compromise" bill is finally introduced and Trump gets some of what he was hoping for knowing that a castle wall with a moat was never gonna happen.

Trump literally did this over and over and despite believing themselves to be the party of the "intellectual elite" nobody seemed to catch on. They couldn't even make anyone understand Twitter is "opinion" and has nothing to do with "policy" let alone "law." Trump could have tweeted "We are going to send a man to the moons of Saturn" and legions of educated people would assume the space ships are being built or already have been built and would strenuously object to the Saturn project.

The dems of course understand the game when "they" do it and really it's nothing new, Reagan famously did a variation of the same.

It's hard to take credit for giving the base of the DNC exactly what they want AND staying under the radar. They really believed everyone was just going to give them this one without any objection. They had a crazy, white lady in charge of the show...what could have possibly gone wrong.

Hard to believe it's been over 20 years since I was on TOS trying to explain to everyone why The Patriot Act was a horrible, and completely unnecessary piece of legislation that will one day be used against us and almost everyone telling me why I was a godless commie for not supporting the fight against terrorism. And here we are.
