BUIS co-witness options for tall optic mounts

What BUIS are you guys using with your 1.93"+ tall optic mounts? Are there any good co-witness options or do you use standard height sight and a QD optic mount? Or maybe no BUIS at all? TIA

Not aware of any tall BUIS. Think the Unity Tactical FAST you can look under the T1, I have an aimpoint PRO on a Bobro 1/3rd QD mount that sits on a riser... no way I can see my BUIS with out detaching my QD mount.

Maybe using some 45 deg offset BUIS would be best?

Interested to hear what others have to say.

I'm told that Scalarworks is coming out with 1.93 height irons, but I don't have any idea when. On my one 1.93 gun which is an Aimpoint Pro with the SKD 1.93 riser in the Aimpoint LRP mount, I'm just running Magpul PRO MBUS that were zeroed prior to the optic install. I'd either use the optic window as a donut of death or ditch it and switch to irons.

The 2.26 guns with Unity FAST micro mount is my preferred red dot combo, I use the built in rear sight with either a FSB or folding front sight depending on the upper. My wife does not like the tall mounts so I have her 6920 setup with an Aimpoint PRO and SKD 1.73 riser. It's much better than the traditional 1.5-1.6 lower 1/3 height and you can still use the irons if need be.

This is where I am right now.

I suspected (and am glad to hear) Scalarworks is working on it, I asked them about it a couple years ago. Thanks for the info guys.

That’s where I was. I am moving to offset RDS on my rifles.

That is what I do with my with the LPVO guns but I wanted to BUIS for the RDS/EoTech guns. I have 3, maybe 4, 1/3 lower mounts I want to replace with taller mounts that current also have BUIS.
