Correct Barrel Profile for Non-FSP Block II Clone?

Which barrel profile is 100% correct for a block II non-fsp clone?

What I've read so far is that a Govt. profile barrel is correct, and that SOCOM profile is grey area. CD mentioned in the ARFCOM block II thread that he's only ever seen 1 non-fsp with a SOCOM profile, and that was back in 2018 - so I'm not sure if that changed after that time.
I know that SOCOM profile is clone correct for FSP, just need clarity on Non-FSP.

I bet there are good amount of Block II in the wild with SOCOM barrels. They started using SOCOM barrels quite a while ago in actual SOCOM. Hell I think conventional units have been using it for several years now. I know the URGI was adopted a while back, but it wasnt an instant switch over and I recently read that there are still Block IIs in use.

Pretty sure everyone has had SOCOM barrels in every variant of M4 for at least a few years now. I know for a fact that USASOC does.

Both are clone correct, period dependent. The “SOCOM” barrel is currently quite common, including all POG or Conventional guns with FSBs and M4 RAS.

My own Block II clone uses a Govt profile 6921 barrel.

Just make sure you use Colt grip screws to be 100% clone correct.
