Literally more effective than an entire police department.

    Many such cases. Sad.

Anti 2A media: "A woman at the party brandished"

    Vs.

What doesn't sound like an anti 2A cop: ""Instead of running from the threat, she engaged with the threat and saved several lives," Sgt. Tony Hazelett, the assistant chief of detectives for the Charleston Police Department, said."

A legally armed West Virginia woman shot and killed a gunman Wednesday after he began firing an AR-15-style rifle into a crowded party.

Now the picture is making sense.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

    Woman takes out active shooter

A great story that will get zero attention from the media. Imagine had a teacher or other staff member been able to do same in TX. It's not rocket science. That lady is a boss:

CHARLESTON, W.V. – A West Virginia woman “saved dozens of lives” when she fatally shot a man Wednesday night who opened fire with an “AR-15-style rifle” at a crowd of partygoers.

Dennis Butler, 37, has been identified by the Charleston Police Department as the deceased gunman, Fox News reported.

Law enforcement authorities said around 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday officers arrived outside the Renaissance Circle apartment complex for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival they discovered Butler suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He later died, according to WOWK-TV.

Investigation revealed that earlier in the evening, Butler was approached about speeding nearby while children were playing. He left the area but returned a short time later with an AR-15 style rifle and opened fire on people attending a birthday and graduation party, police said.

A woman attending the party drew her firearm and neutralized the gunman, according to police.

Just to close the loop here:

Court records indicate as a convicted felon Butler was not entitled to own any guns. He was also wanted by deputies on a misdemeanor charge of transferring and receiving stolen goods from earlier this year. Kanawha magistrate court records show some 20 arrests for local charges.

Butler was a convicted felon and a frequent flyer at the Kanawha County Judicial Annex when it came to getting arrested. Often, those charges were dismissed when witnesses failed to show up.
Perhaps intimidation? I knew when I read the OP that this was not the guys first irrational anger leading to firearms issues.

And the anti-2nd sounding article even said it was “unconfirmed” if the POS convicted felon had “legally acquired” his rifle.

Usually in gang cases and almost universally in family cases the victim fails to shut up. It is less intimidation and more "code of the streets."
Reminder, we don't need to ruin every thread with social/political commentary and thread drift. Sometimes, it's okay to just talk about the topic.
