And an interesting thought from an Old Sarge buddy in the F-106 community...

"The media also tends to go quiet when something they don't want people to notice gets a ray of sunshine...like how an 18 yr old kid can purchase 2 $2000 rifles, $1500 in ammunition and over $300 in magazines. This doesn't include the 9mm pistol and any ammo or magazines for that. There's also the actions taken by the Uvalde PD (I should say inactions), other than to keep civilians from attempting to do their jobs. I'm glad the Border Patrol stepped up and ended the crisis, but the Uvalde PD needs to be replaced and the guilty members charged for the deaths of those innocent kids.

This whole thing stinks and none of it adds up. The media isn't doing anything they haven't done hundreds of times in the past."

He, like I suspect some here, wants to know where the heck the kid got the money on part-time Booger King wages--wondered about who built his shopping list too until I pointed out that any mouthbreather can barf a post on BARFCOM about "n00b here, what all gear do I need to operate operationally" and have a flood of recommendations within minutes.

    sigh...

TX Dept of Public Safety director Steve McCraw said officers’ response to the Uvalde shooting was an ‘abject failure’

So we're looking at one of two scenarios:
    1. These guys are too incompetent to be entrusted with any responsibility higher than sweeping floors.
    2. Somebody WANTED this to happen, in which case there need to be some Heads On Pikes.

How could arredondo show his face in town much less be on the city council??

"The only thing stopping the hallway of dedicated officers from entering room 111 and 112 was the on-scene commander who decided to place the lives of officers before the lives of children," McCraw testified. McCraw has previously identified the on-scene commander as the local school district police chief, Pete Arredondo.

He didn’t think he was in charge, remember? Not his fault.

They were pathetic cowards. Rifles, pistols, badges, cool gear xyz, an adorned halloween costume for these scumbags.

One cannot blindly support LE and .mil if that is what you implied. I'm sure many german citizens supported the gestapo/ss; many russians supported the kgb. Many here believe the fbi, atf is no different from the gestapo or the kgb and, in part, they may well be correct. Depending on how far left the .gov goes in the upcoming elections your opinion/support of LE or .mil may well change depending on what they are tasked to do. And I believe those LE/.mil guys will just be following orders as well, no matter how egregious.

Jesus Christ, every time I look there is a new shit sandwich to this mess, I mean WTF is next? Arredondo and the scumbag were secret lovers and the chief supplied the weapons, the plan and the inference?

Not what I implied, and I trust nothing "blindly." I will however give the benefit of the doubt to LE or mil first, before I ever do for thugs, criminals and most non LEO who may favor defunding LE of the "why did they have to shoot him he only had a knife" types out there today.

Anyone who litterally thinks "...the fbi, atf is no different from the gestapo or the kgb" need to buy a clue and read some history, and I have lost most of my faith in the FBI and ATF at this point. That's like those who compared the orange guy to Hitler, which was idiotic.

On this event, like Parkland, it's looking VERY bad and if you read the the thread from the start, did my best to stay objective until more details existed and try and view it from their POV.

Now I'm leaning heavily toward at minimal, loss of job for most, and criminal charges for some, like Parkland, another event i will never stop mentioning or forget as a similar and even worse example of total failure to do their jobs.

Finally, along with those poor kids and teachers, some of who we know now could have been saved, we will all pay the price and worthless powers that be of the anti 2A/Liberty/Human Rights gaggle will offer gun control as the solution.
