From personal experience, I have had stellar results at 100 yards with them, but just ok results at 800 to 1000 yards. 143 eldx seems better in my experimentation. Interestingly the same load produces great SDs and groups for both bullets. Using Alpha small rifle primer brass has been the key for good results for me.

Interesting. There's a guy here at my work who spoke with the employees at Hornady and their personal favorite bullet is 143gr with 140 a close second.
At 1300 yards, pretty much every 6.5 is squirrely as hell. Some days you can't miss, and some days you can't buy a hit.

Never shot one. We've shot a wide variety of 6.5 past 1300 yards over the last year. And there's days where Sellier & Bellot's factory ammo, which needs 3 more mils than a hot ELDM load, will ring the gong like a champ. You just never know what you'll get at that distance on any given day.

Had a competition with some shooting buds on Saturday, out in the wilderness with this rifle. We put one of those 4" poly shooting blocks on a large stick out at 260 yards. We wanted to go longer, but were forced to settle for only 260 as there were muzzle loaders hunting in the area where we planned to shoot longer.
Everyone got one shot to hit the target, we were shooting my 123gr SST hand loads that chronograph at 2724 fps @ 36F filled with 43 grains of H4350.
I took the first shot and made a cold bore hit that knocked the block back 20'. Nobody else in the group made a hit although one person hit the stick it was resting on about an inch below the target. A few were surprised by the smooth, clean SSA-E and pulled their shots as they were used to heavier triggers.
This is a really accurate rifle.
