It's recommended for suppressor mounts. With that said I've never had a mount loosen under fire that was installed without it. Mind you, I'm confident in my gear and the best course of action is to follow the manufacturer's recommendations. Be warned; however, that when applying rocksett make sure the threads of both the barrel and muzzle device are thoroughly degreased (denatured alcohol works great,) and that YOU ONLY USE A SMALL DROP of thread locker. The last muzzle device I took off for a customer in 2018 took soaking in distilled water for 48 hours before it came loose, as he'd used considerably more than a single drop.
