This was very interesting. The 69s are pretty hot, and the 77s are mild as can be.

With the magnetospeed mounted, I was just shooting all the test ammo at the 600 yard steel I had to come up almost 2 mils (if I remember right) to get the 77 on target.

I just ordered some more of the 77 gr. It would be nice if they were moving a little faster though.

The gun is the GOAT Remmy 700 5R with 20 inch barrel. It was very strange, the 69's shot over their published FPS and the 77's tanked. So, if I were buying I'd go 69's and I have a preference for heavies but WTF on these 77's velocities?

Their published data 69's 2805 vs our 2939 FPS and 77's their published data 2674 vs our 2580 FPS, kinda odd. Makes me wonder if their lots of powder caused their mishaps?

Can't find any comparison data for that Norma 77, but a reference point for you. Federal T223M3 (TRU line, 77 SMK) is pretty mild as well and seems about where your Norma is. From a 16" barrel about 2370, can't find my 20" data but IIRC it was about the same as the Norma - if a little slower. Flies slow, needs up, good accuracy, and can be quirky in some semis.

MarkM, check the box, is it Swedish-made? Curious. Thanks for posting the info.

I send Pappabear a text to check. If he'd not home, I'll check the boxes tonight after work.

The price is pretty good on these, and interestingly enough the 69s have a G1 BC of 0.393 vs 0.372 of the 77s. And the SD you posted is impressive for the price. Might be worth buying a few hundred. Will you guys be obtaining chrono data for the Geissele too?
