Yet Hitler went into the total quagmire that is Russia and would have likely owned much of Europe for a lot longer had he not done that. It's difficult to know where an isolated psychopathic leader who may have been rational at one point, is not any more. The longer this goes the less I think Putin is playing some 3D chess here. At this point, not clear ration decisions are being made.
