Heyjackass has a breakdown by community in Chicago. Quite insightful and telling. There are areas where you are actually safe, and a block away it’s like Beirut.

Just to add to the thread, this article was brought up on a few conservative websites back in February, Australia having over 260,000 unregistered firearms, that is a lot of people who didn't follow the law after 1996, and here we are coming up on 30 years later and it turns out that Australia sorta doesn't have it figured out.

And as others pointed out, the only reason it got coverage is due to who the targets were.

Sure if you run the numbers a certain way. But you can always do that, which is kind of the point.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.
