Let’s be perfectly clear on the threat posed by the Eastern European countries to Russia. It is not a military threat that Putin seems to base his actions on and the concept of ‘plugging the lanes of attack’ that have been a historical avenue of military attack.

To paraphrase Von Clausewitz, this is economics by other means.

The ‘threat’ to Russia, is actually a threat to Putin and his personal empire. The US, the West, European countries are not going to militarially threaten the Putin Empire, they are economically threatening his ability to maintain control over his country. The former Warsaw pact countries have posted outsized economic growth compared to Russia- and that is with out the resources that Russia can extract. Ukraine is the most retarded of the bunch and the most tied to and influenced by Russia.

Putin’s only defense, his only counter to the economic blitzkrieg is to turn to military action. What economic incentive do the former slave states have to partner with Russia? At leas the Chinese throw some money and resources at you to take your resources and your vote in the UN.

NATO is a landmine, not a spear. It is meant to keep you out of territory, not attack it. That is not hard to see or understand. And Putin is ‘evil’ in every sense of the word.

What he has done to his people.
His threats to nuclear weapons to get his way.

The real problem is that we went ‘cheap and easy’ after the Cold War. We should have put stricter controls on Russia and not let it back-slide the way it did. It should have been an economic rival greater than Germany, but it ended up an over sized North Korea.
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

There are tons of video of Russians getting killed but none of Ukrainian losses.

Is footage of Ukrainians getting smoked banned?

    That was funny.

While they are advancing and taking ground one town / city at a time and steadily beating back any and all UAF advances (costing the UAF dearly in the process both in UAF troops AND UAF equipment) and you want me to somehow believe they are losing and the 'tide' needs to be turned to their favor...

I am curious though how far back they will have to push the UAF from their new Russian territory before Zelensky and company figure it out and want to start negotiating a 'peace'. If you go by what Russia has said on the matter - The longer the range of weapons the UAF has to harm Russian territories = The further they will have to push the UAF back.

Russia has a long way to go before they can no longer carefully and slowly dial up the pain on the UAF in this conflict.

Their hits on the USkrainian infrastructure are a good example here. Instead of taking the entire thing down at the beginning (and instantly hurting more civilians in the process) Russia has gone as slowly as possible with their removal of selected infrastructure and have been able to do so at will from the start on a fairly regular basis.

Definitely NOT one of our 'shock and awe' campaigns but still... Russia gave them a choice in the matter. 'Do you want a little bit of your shit blown up or a LOT???'

    Feb 10 -

with high-precision long-range air, sea and land-based weapons, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles, on critical energy infrastructure facilities that ensured the functioning of enterprises of the military-industrial complex and the transport system of Ukraine. The goals of the massive strike have been achieved, the Defense Ministry reported.
Damage to the following facilities in Ukraine on February 10 was confirmed:

The engine room was reportedly hit in the CHPP-5 in Kiev which is the largest station of 700MW in Kiev,
The engine room No. 1 in the CHPP-5 in Kharkiv,
The engine room in the Krivorozhskaya TPP where at least one of the turbines with a 300MW generator was
    heavily damaged,
Fire broke out in the engine room of the Dneprovskaya HPP (DneproGES-1) in the Zaporozhie region,
The Burshtyn TPP located in the Ivano-Frankivsk region was damaged. (located on the intersection of
power lines connecting Ukraine with Hungary, Romania and Slovakia),
Fire broke out in the Usatovo 300 MW substation in the Odessa region (station was also used for energy
    supply from Moldova and Romania),
Fire broke out in the Shepetovka 300 MW substation in the Khmelnitsk region,
    Hmelnitskaya substation was damaged...

Ukraine’s Air Force said that at least 71 cruise missiles were fired by Russian long-range bombers and navy vessels from the Black Sea. 93 missiles were shot down by air defenses, it claimed.
Ought to be obvious by now that their damage taken claims never = their real number of hits (either way).

But then pictures pop up showing the hits they did NOT receive...

    Khmeinitsky substation on 2-10-23 -

Krivorozhskaya TPP damage on 2-10-23 -

Ukraine’s energy operator, Ukrenergo, has confirmed that several of its high-voltage sites nationwide were hit. The company said it had to implement emergency shutdowns to preempt possible damage to the power grid from overload.

The country’s railway operator, Ukrzaliznytsia, also said the power cuts had delayed a number of trains and led to some electric locomotives being replaced with backup diesel engines.

But... Russia ran out of missiles months ago!

And Putin is sick and on his deathbed about to die any day now...

Remember the daily body count of our troops that was daily blasted in our faces during the Afghanistan conflict from our media?

CNN made a big deal out of those numbers and reminded us constantly.

Since this is Ukrainian troops getting killed for the most part... Not so much 'eagerness' to investigate or report those numbers there is it?

Whether you believe Douglas McGregor or not he says the Ukrainian casualty rate is 5 to one Russian.

How large of a percentage of people on the planet have to give us and our 'sanctions' the middle finger before you figure out that it is NOT working?

As more countries and people continue to line up with their middle finger to our unilateral sanctions ('exemptions' or the outright middle finger) - Where is the number that tells you that 'this is not beneficial to ME any longer'???

    ......

Regardless if you want accept it or not the sanctions are having a huge impact by weakening Russia’s ability to finance the war and specifically target the political, military and economic elites responsible for the invasion.

According to the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, Russians economy is shrinking some areas faster than others. But inflation is eating them alive as the World Bank points out it’s between 15 and 20 percent.

Their main source of money is oil and gas and its biggest customers are completely Russian oil and gas free. With India buying it at cut throat rates well below Russia’s extraction costs...

The war would be over if that were true. Maybe in a certain area or time frame but not for anything sustained. Half a million combat deaths (or casualties)? I can see if you beleive that number you think the Ukrainians are going to fold soon.

Can’t tell if McGregor has a bad case of head trash or early dementia- or maybe he got raped when he was in Ukraine, but he is irrational in his analysis.

BIOLABS and that the Ukrainians were going to repulse the Russians in the first few weeks just points to his not being rational.

Yeah, I really don’t know what to make of McGregor. His credentials are solid but his analysis of this war at times seems way off while at times pretty accurate.
