    There will be no winners.
Some objectives will be met but mostly compromises will be made. Ukraine is historically referred to as the bloodlands after all...

The US gov (including the state run paid off media) SOP is to lie, deceive, and deny the truth. Remember covid, Vietnam, WMD's, the GWOT, the latest train fiasco? Same for Russia.
The majority of information about the US-Ukraine-Russia proxy is propaganda and as per the SOP the truth has been and is being covered up.

There are some bits of truth here but none of it really matters. In the end when the objective is resolution the blame game solves nothing.

IS THE ERA OF TANKS OVER OR DOES RUSSIA JUST SUCK AT USING THEM?

    https://www.sandboxx.us/blog/is-the-...at-using-them/

Last year, Russian tanks flooded over the border into Ukraine, intent on reaching Kyiv and displacing the country’s democratically elected government. But, Ukraine proved to be made of tougher stuff than most would have predicted.

In the weeks that followed, Russia’s massive numerical advantage seemed to do little more than provide Ukrainian forces with a target-rich environment, which laid waste to tanks and other armored vehicles by the dozen using inexpensive shoulder-fired weapons and improvised explosive-laden drones, capturing many of those left intact.
LOL!!! Yeah russia you just suck!

Tanks are only effective in a Combined Arms battle. They need Air, Artillery and Infantry support to advance succesfully.
That you would send unsupported Tanks on the Battlefield only shows how this whole fiasco has devolved into Amature Hour.

That and allowing delays to change your intended invasion route from frozen ground to mud.

They ended up traveling in long single file lines on roads which made it easy to halt & then pick off tanks

I'm still right and you're still wrong, and only time will tell as the realities of it. As to Cuba, false, deal brokered with the Russians to remove missiles from Turkey in exchange for removing missiles from Cuba and Kennedy pretended he beat the Russians yada yada.

I don’t remember annexing Cuba in response to the missile crisis.

A good Tank Commander can travel through mud, however certainly not tactically.
You read the ground to pick your route so you dont sink in the mud. You read terrain to allow you to move from cover and concealment to the next C&C spot. These two things are often mutually exclusive. You can have one, but not both.
The worst terrain I have ever encountered was in Hohenfels FRG. There were twenty foot ice and water filled holes covered with just enough snow to make the holes difficult to see.

Yeah, how the US handled the Missile Crisis was almost 180 degrees from what Russia has tried. An reciprocal withdrawal of nuclear weapons, sweetened for the Soviets by the US pledging not to invade Cuba, prevent others from doing so, and acknowledging Cuba was firmly in the Soviet camp. For there to be a fair comparison, Putin should have respected Ukraine's nuclear disarmament by allowing them to pick their own path/alliance structure.

And I say that as someone who thinks Kennedy mishandled Cuba at every step of his presidency and Dallas was the only thing that saved his reputation.
It's f*****g great, putting holes in people, all the time, and it just puts 'em down mate, they drop like sacks of s**t when they go down with this.

Cuba is an interesting story. Obviously we did try and overthrow Castro with disastrous results and tried to assassinate him. What I always found interesting was the reality Castro came to the US first for support, was celebrated by the US population at the time, and the US government told him to go chit in his hat as they didn't trust him, and we were mad he overthrew our US friendly dictator, which he had every right to do.

He then went to the Russians and that set a precedent for other regional leaders to black mail the US into supporting them or else they'd go to the Russians for the $ and support. That had the US stuck between a rock and a hard place and we ended up supporting some real monsters to prevent commie spread and influence in SA/CA as the "lesser of evils" at the time. Even though he was a POS, I wonder if the US had supported Castro at the time, how different the entire regional, perhaps world, events would have gone. Obviously a lot more nuance and details to all that, but it's the essential aspects as I understand it all.

For those living in those countries, known the dictator oppressing them was supported by the US, understandable from their POV why they were not/art not, fans of the US.
