    Primers cost

Did reloading years ago and trying to restart. I am seeing primers 1k for 99 bucks (federal large rifle) what price is typical? Recall them being cheap.

Also I reload for fun, but 1k 9mm may cost 375 bucks, their does not seem to be much savings anymore.

Sadly, small pistol primers are $80-100 per thousand now. Shipping, hazmat and tax drive the cost up even more. Remington has started making primers, ammo again. There is also a new company in Texas that will be selling primers soon. Hopefully costs will come down

Everything sucks when democrats get elected. That price is to be expected until there's some sort of swing away from left wing hate/fear mongering, and regular corruption returns to office.

It has made reloading for 9mm almost a waste of time. We stick with rifle for most reloadng these days and I just buy 9mm. When a primer cost over ten cents WTF

    Yep.
Never would of thought primer cost would approach or equal cost of bullets in handgun loading.
An effing disgrace. Thanks WOKE Cocksuckers.

I’m getting them around $8/100 right now. A month or two ago, I was still getting them around $5/100, but with extremely limited availability.

Edit: SPP and SRP. Cop Store.

I never thought I'd see the day where I'd have such a hard time getting primers and abortions.

I just got some Federal SPP for 8.6 cents each after shipping and it feels like a big win.

I have been reloading 9mm. I like 147 gr bullets and they cost me about 2/3 the price of typical 115 gr steel or aluminum cased ammo. I don't count Russian. Not buying that anymore for several reasons. Freedom Munitions makes steel case, too.

Is 2/3 the price worth my time? It's close. Loading the ammo I prefer (147 gr) compared to just buying it and it's a 50% savings.

But I mostly load .38 Colt Short and .38 Special. (And .32 magnum and .25 acp) That's definitely worth it.

9mm is a wash, but still some calibers like 300BO that just refuse to come down.
