    The Oblivious and Naive Generation

Secured a primo parking spot about 5 hours in advance to watch fireworks with my wife. We were window shopping and on a one mile urban hike headed to watch Minions to kill time.

This is in hobo/crack head central of Denton. For those unfamiliar, Denton has always tried real hard to be another Austin.

About half way into our hike I noticed a tweaker who was walking towards an 18'ish year old female with, what appeared to be, her younger female sibling. The junky and the girls were walking towards each other closing a 50 yard gap. He was matching their movements to create a close pass while fumbling in his right pocket.

I told my wife "Watch this ****er" as we changed course to get between them. My attention went to him so he could notice me watching him. He noticed me when we were both about 10 yards from the girls. He changed course going at an angle away from the girls.

When we passed the girls, the older one said "Do you know him? to which I replied "No". I was fully expecting a "I saw him following us" or something along those lines as response from her, but no. This little bitch goes "Then why are you looking at him so much?" and gave me a 'go to hell look'.

I'm normally pretty quick witted with smart-ass remarks but she caught me off guard. I shook my head and we walked on by without answering her question.

This kind of stuff just blows my mind. She's probably posting something about a straight white male being a nazi somewhere as I type this out.

Anyways, Minions was aight. Fireworks were awesome. Happy 4th to all. Merica.

Feminism, let them be equal and handle their own personal defense needs.

They aren't a victim of being "oblivious or naive", they saw him and saw you and decided YOU were the bad guy. Adjust accordingly. I stopped being "Captain Save A Ho" a long time ago.

Lesson learned for sure. It just blew my mind that I was the perceived threat.

You did well. I too, struggle to be chivalrous in a society that doesnt recognize it or deserve it. You did the right thing & she'll get her come uppance somewhere one day.

Don't feel bad. You did the good deed for her younger sibling.

Yup. You did your due diligence. You can't help stupid.

I got told at a Wawa while being polite and holding the door for a woman (I would have held it if it was a guy), " I don't need you to hold the door for me " as she stopped in the doorway. I laughed and prompty slammed the door in her face.
