Most people don't know, he was in one of the first US films with ninja in it, "The Killer Elite" (1975) also starring Robert Duvall. Caan was also a long time martial artist who trained with Tak Kubota.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

That dude was awesome. I loved him in "Thief" and as the grizzled old thug in "The way of the Gun"

    RIP.

One of his obscure movies, "City of Ghosts".

Riots are like sports, it's better to watch it on TV at home.

    RIP

I don't really know anything about the man but I sure enjoyed watching him pretend to be someone else. Enjoyed many of his films.
