I so want one of these… but of course I am made aware of them after I buy a Ruger MK3 upper that I’m sending out tomorrow to cut down to 2”/thread, then have it refinished before adding a red dot and running my Rugged Oculus… f***ing gun projects!

Hopefully I can get a standard AP5 before they sell out. Don’t even care if it has a brace or not… definitely Form 1ing it.

On the SBRing, The 'k' is nice because it is a pistol 'sized' and I might want to be able to 'carry' it. The 'standard' size I think would be cool with a fixed stock, for a nice stable cheek weld and better gun management.

I have one of the first imports and had S&H do the SBR and install the 3 lug. Been running suppressed constantly, zero issues.

But I'm still new to the MP5 so you'll want to get a more experienced opinion.
My 1985 date code factory MP5 is 100% and has been suppressed by me since the late 1990s and thousands of rounds.

Do you run super or sub sonic ammo?

    Both.

115 gr. WWB value packs for range time and 147 gr. WWB or Speer Lawmen if I need to achieve better suppression. And once or twice a year I run defensive ammo (Hydrashocks, Critical Defense, whatever) which is typically 147, just so I know where it lands. But honestly there isn't much disparity in terms of accuracy.

Also shoot a lot of Geco 124 gr. whenever it's on sale because it's just great ammo for a great price. Even though it's not subsonic, I keep several thousand rounds in my "emergency only" stash because it's really accurate/reliable stuff.

My AP5 P should be here Friday. I will run it with my omega 9k. I think this will be my better pCC since I can’t bring myself to abuse my Sp5 or my B&T

That was my primary motivator for grabbing my MKEs when they first came out. I would finally have a contract quality semi only version that I could run the hell out of.

I have factory MP5s and I had a couple 94's that were SBR'd to correct config (paddle mag release, 3 lug, etc.) but they were still wildly collectible and were just going to become more valuable.

If wholesalers ever actually get SP5s in stock and plan to grab a full size and a K just to have another option, but I'll keep my MKEs as a bang around gun that is reliable. If I end up with a dozen variants of the MP5/94...that's fine.

I'd also like to grab an additional SP5 and a MKE to finally have SD models built by RDTS. I know it's a heavy, underpowered 9mm with limited options for weapon lights and such, but I still want one...or two.

Century says they have 'Euro' SP5 and SP5K models in stock. I see what looks like a correct SP5, but the SP5K had the funny barrel/grip?

My AP5 P came in! Screwed on my Omega 9k and fired off a few rounds of subsonic in the back yard. 3 round torture test a great success. The gun looks amazing, I will take some pictures next to my SP5 but I am not seeing anything significant in terms of difference.
