I am right at 200 rounds. I had some feed issues (which I recorded during the first 20 rounds). It had FTF/FTE every shot (with two bullets falling out of the chamber when I removed the mags). Then boom, everything started running perfectly over the next 180 rounds. Maybe century isn't joking about the break-in. The gun is a joy to shoot and practically identical to my SP5 except the bolt looks a little rougher (casting?) in the AP5. I am going to do a little 500 round break-in video and put it up next week with pictures of the internals for comparison. Let me know if you want to see anything specific. I am running it with an Omega 9k.

Cool. I am hoping to shoot mine in the next week or so. I have been debating on the 9K but may just wait for the RBS from B&T.

Took my 'k' out today. Probaby 150 rounds through it. One failure to eject leading to a double (spent and fresh) feed binding it up. SPent round brass had the front mouth deformed, I'd think from the live round trying to jam it back in the chamber before jamming things up. Dropped the mag, live and spent round dropped out, went back to work.

Really like it with the SB side folding brace. Much better than my SP5 with a B&T collapsing brace. My son wondered what the 'zebra' brass was about...

Not a huge fan of the castle and post in circle sighting. Might put a dot on it.

    Supper fun to shoot.

Swap your castle with a diopter.

Yes. Yesterday was a worst case scenario. It was drizzling rain, or more appropriately, there must have been some serious windshear at altitude because the rain was really small drops, like it had been run through a fan. Don't usually shoot in those conditions, but red dot optics get REALLY interesting when you have astigmatism and they are coated in water (THat was on some handguns). But even with the AP/SP5 guns, my shooting glasses were finely misted. Plus shooting brown IPSC targets on brown dirt/mud. About the worst sighting conditions, outside of darkness, that I've shot in awhile...

Even in decent conditions, that castle sight sucks. It was made for the "K" and "in the room" shooting. When HK sold the K as a PDW it had a standard diopter sight.

My new MKE "K" ate 180 rds on its first trip out.

Hung up on one JHP out of 30 in the mag. Pretty sure it was Fiocchi 147 gr. Will break in more before trying JHP again. It did did eat 30 rds of new Freedom Munitions 147 gr RN plated. The rest was warm 115 gr and 124 gr fmj.

Here is my summary of my first 750 rounds:

Amazing deal. You better buy one of these or you will regret it later. Mine had a few issues in the first 100 rounds and them perfect thereafter. Given the insane mark-up on the HK SP5k you would have to be a die-hard HK collector to justify the difference. Definitely my favorite PCC. It is smoother than my B&T and way mother than a CZ EVO or KUSA KP-9.

I scored some 158 gr PPU round nose FMJ for my AP5 because I plan to get a muffler for it.
