Current favored optic rails for MP5 / MP5K - type guns?

I may not put one my AP5 because I want to enjoy the sights for now. But I don't like the AP5P (MP5K type) rear sight drum notches and want to mount a RDS.

What are the best mounts these days?

An option I looked at when almost grabbing an AP5P. Longer than necessary.

I'm trying to figure where I got this mount, has worked great. And yes, get a RDS.

As my mind is starting to work, I think this mount came with the gun. My HK buddy said buy the Low Profile mount from B&T. Good luck.

B&T low profile HK optic rail is my preference.

That’s the MKE mount that came with your Zenith import.

Mainly looking for a lower 1/3 witness for the K and plan to use a smaller, enclosed RDS.

Not against having a QD base.

Started a thread at HKPro. Unfortunately some of my pic links were lost but I might be able to fix them.

There should be some info on the specific B&T models.

BLUF: IMHO cowitness sucks on these, get a Scalarworks+Micro and you can use the irons looking through the mount.

This is the B&T 21241 mount. The heads up shooting position works very well for me (if you like a 1.93 or 2.26 for ARs, you know what I mean) and you can shoot the irons through the Scalarworks mount.

Decided to put the MFI mount on the "K". Put on slowly and carefully but it's on there now.

Now looking for a optic with QD lever. Doesn't have to cowitness at all. Suggestions?
