    Those shitty demagnetizers don't work on firing pin or things larger than a tiny screw or paper clip. I've tried several using several weird techniques but it just simply doesn't do jack.

    I don't understand the "personal preference" part. It's not suppose to be magnetic, that's not a preference; that's the spec. Somewhere through the manufacturing to shipping process it was handled incorrectly. I'd be irritated but at the same time if I couldn't de-mag it, I'd just get a new firing pin and be out the $7+shipping or at least go to the LGS. Most places carry AR small parts now.
