Nullus amicus melior - Nullus inimicus perior
Already have the Zenith MKE 43P so I'm good on the 33k.
Do I need another G3/91 in my safe? Maybe..

I wonder if Century will mark them up $1k over the competion (in the case of the G3/91), then drop the price the price by $1k a year later. Either way, more options is mo' better.
The link isn't working for me, but if Century is going to import these what would justify adding anything to the price over a PTR? century isn't known for quality.

mil-spec parts and barrels "IF" MKE builds them to spec.

I'm interested. Love my Century-imported MKE AP-5.
Would be a little torn between a 5.56 or .308, though.
PTR has FMPs tooling, but they don't build barrels to spec. I still haven't gotten the definite word if their GI model is CHF to HK specs or not. They initially tried to improve the design to make it more accurate which resulted in across the board feeding issues. Not sure how / if they got that 100% fixed.
With Century you have to remember this.
Some guns they IMPORT, there is nothing wrong with these guns. This includes things like C&R guns and early thumbhole stock Romanian AKs.
Some guns they IMPORT and make 922r compliant. This includes things like WASRs where they modify magazine wells and add 922r compliant parts. Low grade 922r compliant parts and z grade manufacturing standards make these problematic.
Some guns are part kit builds, these are usually poor condition part kits often combined with low quality receivers. The poor condition of the parts kit used, combined with low grade 922r compliant and z grade manufacturing standards make these problematic. Even when they built some Steyr Stg58 kits onto Imbel receivers, which usually results in an excellent rifle, they used kits in fair to poor condition and the 922r compliance parts (usually fire control, followers and floorplates) were some z grade pot metal quality junk that resulted in a crap grade rifle.
Sometimes they have farmed out projects, like when they built Stainless Steel receiver CETME's, but they let Special Weapons do the build so again the were junk with huge spec problems.

PTRs, to the best of my knowledge, don't use CHF barrels. That said, after the break-in period, my current PTR has been solid. My previous one was good to go right out of the box.
As for Century, yes, their pure imports are fine, but unless I don't understand the law as well as I think I do, any G3 or similar design will not be a pure import. They'll have to do something to it to make it 922r compliant, and there lies the initial problem; Century almost certainly will find a way to screw that up.

If Century imports them as pistols like B&T, and leaves 922r to the consumer, they may be able to avoid touching them, save a import mark.
