    IMI Smashed Primer

Was at my local range today when I pulled this gem out of my ammo bag. Glad I caught it! It looks like a rock or maybe a piece of tumbling media. This was factory ammo bought sometime in late 2017.

Wow. Yeah... probably a piece of media. I doubt that primer would ignite since the anvil is surely mashed. But who knows?

Would this be safe to try and fire?

Best just toss it. If the whole lot was like that, I would make contact with IMI.

You may torch cut your bolt face so go ahead and try it. We want to see it. Just don't get your face anywhere near the gun.

Yeah. If that were to still ignite, you'd probably etch the bolt face. I'd pull it down for components. Or give it to a reloader who can pull it down.

I had a factory round with primer upside down. You make 18 bizzallion rounds and shit can happen.

It wasn't the whole box, just this one.
